Special Hauling – Revisions made 10/7/20 & 1/27/22

  1. Applicant shall now provide a fax number, phone number and email address.

  2. Address MUST be given to inform the County where the oversized loads will be traveling. Applicant may also provide an intersection (i.e. moving to SR 113/Oberlin Rd, moving from: SR 82/Station Rd). However, providing only a city/state for move to or move from will result in delay of permit approval.

  3. County roads to be used are not shown in the provided table. Applicant shall provide limits to roadways to be used (i.e. Road name: Sprague Rd from: Root Rd, to: Station Rd)

  4. Additional axle spaces have been provided and total weight required.

  5. Permit now remains valid for 5 days after “Date of Move” allowing the applicant to adjust the move date slightly without needing to alter the approved permit.

  6. Addition to save harmless language to the “Note” above the application signature. Previously in general provisions which are no longer required for a Special Hauling Permit.

All Special Hauling Permits are subject to a non-refundable $50 fee.  Checks or Money Orders accepted, payable to Lorain County Engineer.
