After receiving permit and purchasing of materials (tile, pipe, etc.) Contact the Lorain County Engineer’s Office.
Your ditch will be cleaned if we feel it is necessary. Problem spots are normally located by the County Engineer’s Department. Wider berms are set along the roads for a safer highway.
Driveway installments require a permit. Property owner must purchase drain pipe and meet all requirements including permit. Lorain County Engineer’s office will schedule and complete installation.
Ditch tile for front yards also require a permit. The homeowner is responsible for purchasing the pipe and hardware. Lorain County Engineers will supply dirt upon availability to cover the tile two inches below grade. It is also the homeowners responsibility to supply and lay the top soil and seed if necessary.
