Lorain County Highway Maintenance Garage operates under the direction of the County Engineer. This department is responsible for maintenance of the County Highway system. Tasks performed by the Highway Department include right-of-way drainage, ditches and culverts, mowing and vegetation control, trimming trees, roadside berm areas, guardrail repairs, traffic signs and signals, pavement markings, and snow and ice removal.
